A no fee change of mortgage with the same company.

I have recently changed my mortgage deal to a much better one with the same company (name not important). What is important though is that were trying to bleed my dry of £300 arrangement fee. I told them that I was not paying any fees to switch to a better deal and simply informed them that I have been with them loyally (as they were the best on the market for my circumstances) for 5 yrs that I had paid in excess of £14'000 in interest alone...after a few so called chats to supervisors I was offered the deal i'm now on with absolutely no fees.

I only took out a mortgage for approx £60K and have paid approx £14K in interest alone in 5 yrs. What a bargaining tool this when challenging for a fee free deal with the same company.
