  • They wont let me make payments as they wont send an agent here as i offered to pay £1 a week until dispute was resolved. Provident are already the enemy.
As For the police i didnt have enough evidence to support my claims (there was no evidence to suggest they wernt true either).
So i point blank refuse to pay the money twice i have already paid the agent that represents provident. Not my Fault they didnt receive it.

You post here asking for advice but dont accept it when people give you good advice - why bother posting in the first place

  • Provident are now reinvestigating as new evidence has come to light this weekend.

The agent indulged in conversation with me on facebook and has seriously contradicted everything provident have said to defend her.

How long would you say is a reasonable amount of time to allow provident to reinvestigate bearing in mind a final response has already been issued??
  • The agent has been dismissed for several breaches of comapny policy's yet provident are still demanding full payment
  • If you have no proof of payment then you are pretty stuffed to be honest and are likely going to have to repay the full amount.
There's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I used to be an agent for another finance company so wont know the procedure of provident. But i would think you have been lucky that they are reinvestigating it again. My advice to you is pay by debit card over the phone to CA, as i am aware they cannot ask for payment in full, you made an agreement to make monthly/ weekly payments.

Even though no more interest will be added if a debt collection company get involved they will charge by letter, phone call adding to the amount you already owe. I would always say to anyone always pay your debt even though there is a grievance with the agent rather than the company.

And if you know the agent then goto the police and report fraud, it needs to be reported asap.
