Ahh, I only mention that because it is an example of overhead that a lot of people forget when they cost stuff
I just think it's not fair to mexpect anyone work for less than minimum wage - let alone a trained artist. You have spent years honing your skills - you are worth more!
I think there is a niche for more bespoke work - a lot of people when they go shopping for wedding stuff have a picture in their head of what would be perfect and enjoy the art of being part of the design process
I wanted a solid metal planished circlet that looked irregular and organic - nothing I saw matched the picture in my head and I searched everywhere including places like costume stores and historial/fantasy reenactment places - so I had to make it myself in the endI would have offloaded the task had I left someone enough time to do it; but it would have had to be assayed because of the weight and that can take a while.
I'm not organised enough for all this wedding lark - I'm working right up until the day before too!

I fell in love with one on Aye Do, but at £90 i just couldnt bring myself to buy it.
My tiara is pearl/crystal/diamante and cost £45 incl postage from ebay (second hand)
I have spent 6 months with daily ebay updates looking for the right tiara, finally found it last week.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
My tiara came with a necklace and matching earrings that match the detailing in my dress and cost me £100 for the lot. I got them when i got my dress from a bridal shop x
