debt over 6 yrs which letter to send

Pretty much as it says in the title really, 2 debts, both of which I have not had anything from for over 6 years one of which I have no idea who it's even for as its in my maiden name (married over 8 years) and it just says arrow collections no details of any loan or what its for but they're not someone I've ever heard of before nor does the refererence tie up with anything. Anyhow, my question is the debts are from companies in England, however I live in Scotland so I assume I'm going to send a Statute Barred template letter but do I send the Scotland one or the England one? Thanks in advance

If you live in Scotland, then you send the Scottish one.

Thank you, I was only unsure as we used to live in England at the time of the original debt.

If they went to court, they would have to do that through the Scottish court/legal system. So it is the Scottish rules that apply if they should.

Would they, doesn't the contract specify the legal jurisdiction?

Yes, they would.

In fact the OFT warned creditors/DCAs over this. They must not take or threaten to take legal action outside the debtors jurisdiction.
