good afternoon all....just had a brief rain shower, hanging baskets now heading back skywards...

spent early morning supporting a picket line....

interesting observation concerning some views that its about time the government restricted Union activities.....especially regarding percentage of Union membership voting for action?

of course, to be fair, such voting rules should also be imposed upon ... say....local Council elections?

    Or..... parliamentary elections?

or, how we chose a Prime Minister????

ooops, oh dear, nobody seemed to like that idea, recently...apparently?

Or are we now living in a country where it's 'one rule for some, another rule for others?'

I believe strongly that, if segments of the working population are expected to suffer in order to get this country back on its feet, then that suffering should begin at the top.

What people forget is, firstly, those who worked within the public sector [civil servants, for example] accepted a lower wage level because certain more beneficial condition's were attached.

    the wages haven't changed.......so....?

Plus, most of the pensions concerned are really peanut-payers anyway.....a huge percentage of not-a-lot is really very little.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
