hi peeps.....
Today is Father's Day.....
now, that's pretty much a new one...compared to Mother's Day....[or, 'Mothering Sunday as it was once called??]
Imagine the scene?
Newly-married couple sitting at home today.......and a Father's Day card suddenly pops through the letter box?
One reason I would not recommend a cruise for a Honeymoon? ....Imagine, disembarking at Mombasa, to be surrounded by hoards of urchins shouting 'Daddy, Daddy'....
I awoke this morning to be presented with a very acceptable bottle of wine, a couple of cheeky cards, an even cheekier tee shirt [which I shall wear to work]...and an excellent book, which I shall recommend on another forum.
Go on...how many Dad's on here awoke to the kitchen smoke alarm gong off?No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
My hubbie was 'bought' (or rather paid for himself!) a BBQ tool set from 3 1/2 year old bbq addict, and a body board from 7 1/2 year old sea mad son!
My children took him a ginger biscuit in bed!!!! It did make me snigger, but it was what they wanted to do! Obviously I am such a tyrant that the prospect of a biscuit in bed is a HUGE treat!'Don't judge me 'till you have walked a mile in my shoes'0 -
