want to buy a PSP Console - need advice pls

Options
I'm going to buy a PSP console for a 10 year old boy. Had a look at Argos website (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5668296/Trail/searchtext%3EPSP.htm) & found a PSP 3000 console for £150 including 2 free games worth £30. Is this a good deal? Can I get a better deal elsewhere?

Does PSP come with any basic games at all?

I've heard of PSP 3003/3004. What's the difference? Is it the higher number the more advanced model?

Thanks

I think Morrisons were selling these recently for £70, if you can still find one a bargain to be had.
  • isnt sony bringing out a new PSP?
(i may be wrong but son mentioned something about it, its bigger and has a screen on the back as well?? something like that)

anyway, that means the PSPs that are available just now will plummet in price, and may affect which one you buy

There is a new psp coming out later in the year, probably in time for Christmas. The psp go doesn't use cartridges, I think you buy and download the games. The older models use UMD discs. The original model was the 1000 I think, then the 3000 I think.

My husband's psp original just died, but I don't see the point of paying out for a new one that'll be out of date by the end of the year. Also husband likes a particular football game, which apparently isn't on the psp go and as the go doesn't take cartridges he'd have to buy all his games again. Every so often hmv.co.uk sell pre-loved ones at a reasonable price. I missed one last week, so I keep checking for another.
    Hope this helps. :-)
