Woolworths Cataogue Mistake on Playstation 3

Dont know if anyone could benefit from this but according to their instore catalogue the release date of the PS3 is 17th Nov (which is the US and JApan releaese date - Uk is Mid March) and pre orders are being taken soon.

    The UK date was supposed to be then. Woolworths just didn't update their info. No hope there I'm afraid.

    look at it this way, US and Japan will put up with all the blips and teething problems, which should be sorted by the time of its release here!

    doubt that'll happen - we'll get the same firmware version as the US and i doubt sony will bother changing every models firmware just for a few problems, they sell the ps3's with firmware v1.0 and then offer the upgrade via the online service after the release

    Yes it will work. You'd need a step down adapter and and NTSC compatible tv. Not sure about BluRay region system though

    BBC news ( breakfast edition) had story covering Microsft deal to allow downloads of films etc onto the Xbox 360 in late November just after UK RELEASE DATE for PS3 of Nov 17th .

    Have they got their story wrong or is it now a World wide release date ?

    They have the release date wrong. It was meant to be November here but Sony are having problems with the manufacturing of some blu ray components (the hi-def dvd drive) causing a shortage, so they have put the European launch off until March. One of their executives would not confirm this week the launch would make the March deadline either. :(
