High & Mighty Rip Off

I am 6 foot 8 inches tall with an inside leg of 38, and have been shopping at High & Mighty stores for quite some time, happily switching to web ordering to save the travelling. However, now that there are more choices online for Tall clothing I just wanted to alert all the fellow Tall people to the fact that High & Mighty prices are bordering on ridiculous. I recently needed some new jeans, checked out some on High & Mighty website, liked the look of the Ben Sherman ones which were up for £79. I did a bit of searching and found them on Big Tall Order's site for £54.95!!! I compared other jeans and it was exactly the same:mad: . My wife and I run 2 gift shops and know the average mark up on things, High & Mighty seem to think they still have a monopoly in their market so that they can charge these outrageous prices.
I ordered the jeans from Big Tall Order and another pair to qualify for free postage (over £95) and they were both delivered the next day, along with a hand written note thanking me for my order (nice touch:T ).
Obviously I will not be shopping at High & Mighty again, and I hope you pass this on to any tall people you know.

I have found High and mighty means high & Mighty prices. I have used Premierman and Banks. Premier have some great prices for Ben Sherman cloths and it is also free to send items back if you dont like them. I recently got 3 jackets reduced from £95 to £350

I think you have hit the nail on the head though TallTree that they had a market monopoly and priced their products accordingly.
I think I would have to send them an e-mail pointing out that they have lost your business because they are now so much dearer. If enough business walks out the door, they will have to think again and that can only be of benefit to the consumer.0 -
If you shop in manchester try slaters mensware as they have a limited amount of clothes and shoes (for us tall blokes) which are reasonably priced!!!!0

I gave up on them years ago, and I am also 6-8. I find Ebay US the best place for new clothes, very very cheap so no tax either.
I had a place in Romford that sell easy jeans for £20 in most tall sizes, and H&M had the same one up for £60-70.
A couple of US sites are good, but you will get hit by tax are: https://www.bigtalldirect.com and https://www.casualmale.com. The latter is expensive, but sometimes good on their regular sales. But I stil say Ebay US. I pay about £10 for Dockers trousers and between £5-£15 for Ralph Lauren XLT size shirts. I can't for the life of me work out why we don't have tall sizes over here like they do.0 -
would it not be cost effective if you took a shopping trip to the states at the ridiculous prices you are being quoted?0

I've never bought anything from this company but they do advertise in my local newspaper a lot (The Northern Echo) and seem to have decent prices.

Hope it is of some use!0 -
