sounds great! I can't normally stretch to Boden prices but am seriously considering whether to make the journey with 2 little ones...has anyone been to one of these and if so, what are the discounts like and do they include the nicer things or just the stuff they haven't managed to shift???

I went to the one in Oxford a few years ago. People were queuing to get in and it was busy. I got a few nice skirts but all the shoes and bags etc went straight away. They were fairly cheap but not at give away prices. There were quite a few mums there with small children, some even with picnic lunches! I probably will go this year but imo the Joules sale was better.
    Started comping February 2012
    Wins so far:
Mascara, dry shampoo, chocolates, Loreal Elvive goody bag.Pot noodle fork , maggi mix, couscous,
  • I went to one in Oxford last September. I got there about an hour after opening on the first day. The mini Boden stuff had practically disappeared apart from the very small sizes and 12+. Ladies had some nice bits and pieces but the prices werent rock bottom. I debated for ages over a mac that was still £50 and in the end I put it back so all I came out with was a pair of mini boden silver pumps for £10. Don't forget that you can't send anything back if it doesnt fit or you don't like it but there is always ebay! and indeed some people go there with that intention giving the rest of us no chance! I did mill around the edge of the hall for quite a while trying to see if there were any good cast offs from people that sort through everything they have grabbed before paying. I think there can be better bargains to be had in Boden's end of season sales or if you can get a good discount code. Town halls are worth a look but only if you are not forking out too much in petrol money/ time to get there. That said I will probably be hammering down the doors in March when they come to my home town (Newbury) .......

In the past they have had a few further reductions on the last afternoon at a particular location (I was at Cambridge Guild Hall)
