The Almond Board of California are giving away 5,000 packets of almonds and a refillable tin to put them in (this is a UK offer):

http://www.almondboard.com/ConsumerUK/Handbag/Pages/index.html

This offer has been running since 6th January. Offer ends 1st March - the freebie will only be sent out to the 1st 5,000 applicants (or possibly the 1st 5,000 aplicants who reply to a winning email - see post #3 - thanks violetta). There's no opt-out box on the site but you can email informationservices@almondboard.com (subject line: unsubscribe) to be removed from their database.

A similar offer was posted a few months ago but as this is a new offer with a different URL, I thought I'd start a separate thread.

Good luck! :)

One of the rules worth noting if you give an email address you don't check very often:

    PRIZE:
The first 5,000 valid Entries received will be notified by email and will have

five (5) business working days to respond and claim their prize or the prize will be

forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

It would be a good reminder if, when someone notices they have the email, they post to say so to get us all checking ...

I don't remember this rule last time - the almonds and tins just seemed to arrive in the post no messing!

  • Thank you!, it seems like a good offer.

Im a little confused though, can someone help me out here.

I signed up. What happens next? is it a competition to get a free tin or does everyone who signs up gets one?

The OP clearly states that its the 1st 5000 people that sign up that get a tin.

Now I've ordered one to come hopefully for my jealous sister! (I did try buying one of the dinky tins, but strangely although they do promotions like this they didn't sell to the UK:o)
