Don't think that's the correct use of the word earn.
Contact your local credit union, not necessarily for a loan, but for free debt management advice, they can often be very helpful and honest.
Get given I mean, but it don't bother me as they are english and worked all there lives..0 -

On benefits and husband working, no wonder my taxes are so high.
My advice would be to you (and anyone for that matter) is don't borrow money, if you have a 5k overdraft give them a ring, tell them the situation is dire and you want to pay the overdraft back at say £100 a month. The £1 a day fee does'nt sound that bad neither considering todays climate of loan rates for us mere mortals. The world is full of usury.
Use microsoft excel to write down all money in and all money out.

You can use a personal loan calculator on the net though to work out how much a loan would cost you per month - you could then use that amount to reduce your overdraft on a nonthly basis.
I'm afraid that is as good as it gets.
thats not strictly true,i`m on benefits and last year got a secured loan at 4.79% for 10k also have 17k avaliable on various cc`s
it all depends what benefits you are on,how much you get on benefits and as ever how good your credit history is,despite 13 years on benefits my bank still rate me a AAA0 -

I personally don't think the banks give a toss if your on benefits or not, as long as you have a excellent credit rating and a proven history of paying back your debts.0 -
Hi Everyone
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I want to borrow £5k - £7k to pay off a large overdraft that is now being charged at £1 per day. And also to buy a cheapish car and do some home improvements
My husband works but has bad credit history so I was going to apply on my own. I'm on long term benefits and wondered if anyone would look at me for a loan without a guarantor? I have really good credit history.
I have a company looking for me but I think they are just messing me around and I gave them my bank details so they could take a fee if they found me a loan. I think it may be a scam.
Any help much appreciated. x
A £7000 loan at say 20% will mean interest of £1400.00 per year or nearly £4.00 per day.0 -
thanks for all your replies that has been a help. i have people phoning me every half hour just about wanting to find me a loan, trying to get back the money they took
revolu - im not sure what you mean? My husband works, yes! And i get benefit money as I am disabled. is there some sort of problem in that? I hope to return to work in the near future if i am able, and hate being stuck at home. but that is what i have to put up with, thats the hand i got dealt. Not all people are scroungers who are on benefits. I have worked all my life apart from 6 months off with each of my children. Stick that in your pipe0
