Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) query

Hi everyone
I'm just hoping someone might be able to shed some light for me. I've got around £5500 of debt and it was really starting to get my down and affect my life. I've contacted an Advice Works money adviser through my local council as I'm considering a DAS.
I was just wondering about the repayment amount. I'm worried that all my free income will have to go towards it and I'll be left with nothing. On top of my essential expenditure, I'm taking driving lessons so I can apply for a promotion and work and hopefully get a better salary. I'm only a month or two away from sitting my test so don't want to stop. I also have to move out my family home in the summer as my family are moving to a smaller house and I've been trying to put money away so I can afford a deposit on a flat and the first few bills.
Does anyone know how they calculate the repayment amount for a DAS and what it generally is?
It's really been playing on my mind so any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Lou

Every DAS is individual & therefore so are the amounts repaid.Speak to your adviser & see what they can suggest.
Im sure the amount paid to the DAS can be varied as p[eoples circumstances can change.
I think there is a thread on DAS's on the bankrupcy board so have a wee look.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
