    I am hoping to source a cheap place too

    Best locally is £2.91 for 3 litre bottles at my local Tesco. It seems even Makro (et al) can't beat the £1 a litre target. I remember it was not long ago that veg oil was half that price....
    Money saving:
    Buy a Skoda. Laugh at the VWs who paid several grand more
    Its a diesel. 50mpg - laugh at all the petrols
    Its a tuned 260bhp diesel - laugh at them in the rearview mirror as they vanish

    Are you sure it's a litre though? Pound shops often seem to sell slightly smaller than usual items - presumably to enable them to sell them for a quid!

    according to asda's webiste vegetable oil and sunflower oil now 72p a litre but only in their 1litre bottles...happy days

    Just been on the Tesco web site and their Tesco Pure Vegetable Oil 1 Litre is £1.20. Or you can get a 3 litre bottle for £3.98, if you are daft enough to buy it.

    Looks like asda is the place to go for cooking oil.
