Hi Everyone
Can anyone offer some advise please, I am just about to send off requests for CCA from my creditors. Do I send them to the original creditor or the debt collection agency ?
Thank you

To whomever is demanding payment.
If that is the DCA and they believe the request should be made direct to the creditor, then they will tell you.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Do NOT put signatures on your requests, and make sure they go recorded delivery as well. If you don't send them recorded, they'll just deny ever receiving them.0

Thank you to you both for taking the time to reply to my question.
I have gained lots of information from this excellent site, but in reference to your advise re not signing the letters which by the way I didn't, I enclosed the £1 fee in the form of a cheque which obviously has my signature on, what would be the down side to this if any?
Thank you0 -
There have been cases where a signature has been scanned from one document and placed onto another. There is a well known case where a high street bank tried to show the credit agreement in court, but in the time between opening the account and appearing in court, the person had gotten married so the name on the document that they showed in court was wrong.
It doesn't happen often, but it's better safe than sorry. I wouldn't worry about it too much. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Best to send any such payments as postal orders - or slightly alter your signature in such a way that'll be immediately apparent to you if they try the Photoshop trick.0 -
Its always best to digitally sign any correspondance.
However if your name has changed for whatever reason since the date the alleged credit agreement was taken out then if you have signed anything it can work in your favour if a creditor/DCA does the paintshop thing.
Once they have committed this act of fraudyou will have them on the backfoot and should push for the debt to be written off because there is no way they would then take you to court!!
