Professional Cake Decoration in London

I hope someone will be able to assist. I am getting married in late July and my mother is making my wedding cake as I love her fruit cake - nothing matches it. But! I need it iced by a professional and although I have spent many a frustrating hour on the internet, I cannot find anyone advertising themselves as doing professional cake decoration, although I am now well aware that almost every college does a course in it.

So, my query is: can you recommend a professional cake decorator in central London, please?

hi, the trouble you might have with finding one is (im a cake decorator)
If i make my own cake i know im going to get it level, and the perfect shape to cover in icing. When someone brings a cake in, it may not be the right depth, shape, not be quite level (and its almost impossible to level a fruit cake as u cant cut it) and if they cover it and it doesnt look quite right it can portray badly on the decorator.
Thats just my own opinion.

Why dont you buy marzipan and icing and have a go yourself? if it goes wrong you can always take it off.....the good thing about fruitcake it, it last for months n months once covered in icing
