    Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
    September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
    April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
    Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045

    Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 2037
  • Congratulation! It's a wonderful feeling isn't it? And the best thing is, it never goes away. It took a while (easily a year) for me to get to grips with what I'd done, but I've been soooo relaxed since. Work hassles are just water off a duck's back to me now.

    So what are your plans now? Big holiday or extravagant purchase to celebrate shedding the millstone?

    Gonna wait a few months and see how the bank balance is affected in real life with this......but yeah, it's a wierd feeling because I've ALWAYS had a mortgage since I left the fold......almost as if it's the law that you MUST have a mortgage.
