Moral Question: If you have debts, should you spend money on luxuries?

This is one I struggle with. I really need to focus myself on clearing the debts but its impossible to completely go without some small luxuries or life becomes very miserable.
I justify it by aiming to buy my "luxuries" in the cheapest way possible. Its lovely when a 99p book from the charity shop becomes a treat. We manage to have a holiday each year but we go camping and dont eat out. Its surprising how much I enjoy these holidays, there is no pressure to have the perfect holiday because it cost so little.
It gets harder with stuff for the kids. Are music lessons or football subscriptions a luxury? We have limited the activies our kids do but there still needs to be some room in the budget for this or they are going to miss out.0
