Hi
as the title says, can you dye net curtains?
I am planning decorating my living room and have some plain white nets up but i'm decorating, browns and creams and white wont go.
It's 2 patio doors with big windows so dont really want to fork out on a new lot f nets, only had these about 4 months!

not worth it - presuming they are polyester then it's normally dyed at 130'C
You wouldn't manage to get the colour level anyway without the correct equipment.
You can sometimes dye at the boil but you need chemicals called carriers & it's not that good either.0 -
You could try soaking them in black coffee, then washing them with something gentle like soap flakes. There should be a residual creamy beige stain. When I was in brownies my mum did this with a pair of white socks to make me some beige ones and it worked well,- but of course the socks would have been cotton so would 'grab' the stain better. I think it's probably worth a try.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

As said, they're probably man made materials and getting an even dye would be very difficult at home.
Why wouldn't white net curtains go with a cream room anyway? You see through them, so they're not really white.0
