I have a product i wish to sell, lets say a designer jacket that cost me £100.
I'll then put the advert on lets say ebay for example.
What I am selling are £1 token to buy the jacket.
At the end of the 5 day auction, I then invite everyone who purchased a token to my live webcam, where I will read everyones name out who purchased a token and drop into a hat. I will also contact everyone who has purchased a token via e-mail.
whoever I pick out of the hat gets the jacket for £1, I also pay for the postage and packaging.
It does not have to be a £100 jacket it could be a dab radio for £50 but I'm sure you know where I am coming from.
It would start of slow but with word of mouth, advertising etc, could it take off.
More importantly I am allowed to set something like this up.
thanks for reading.

Hi Claire, thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same thing but just need some more detail on the subject.0

It would be a lottery, therefore subject to the gaming commission. There are very specific rules, and you need a licence. Look at the commissions website, some good articles with clear details on what you can do.0

Specifically disallowed on ebay and if you use any other platform you will need a license to run a raffle.
