Afternoon all...Just about to do the weekly grocery shop...
Sorry I wasn't on yesterday - busy getting Milo and Bob my new 1 yr old male ratties (so yes this is now a male and female household)...
I don't know which one is which...I just know they are not responding to their names right now...I guess it'll come...
Also am a bit concerned about the smaller one of the two who is taken longer to adjust but he should be fine in a few days right? (he also has a wee pin !!!!! of a scab on his tale and what looks like a minor carpet burn. Am treating with salt water as per vets instructions. Registering them tomorrow with PDSA and then if it's not cleared up by tuesday or sig better I'm taking the small light brown one to a trip to the vet - or if's visibly infected. But sometimes - speaking from experience - infected wounds don't look infected - they just don't heal)
So yeah pics to follow
They are gorgeous wee boys and don't bite. Am doing the cage on the cheap. Currently they are in a semi deluxe hamster cage with a tube at the top (it has a square attachment x 2) which is going to be added to by Sabbath with a normal hamster cage and a ladder with cardboard on top so they will have 2 layers...I think that should be fine. Total cost of cage = about £20 (both cages second hand) as opposed to £75 from pets rip off...
Anyhow some numpty managed to reformat her hard drive on her phone last night (thinking facebook wasn't working when it was :P) so that's caused chaos
Sorry to hear about your accident Handy
Blessings all

Hello Erme. Hope you are feeling better. Make sure ratties have lots of things to chew so they don't try to chew out of the cage (as a kid my friend's rats did this and took several days to find and catch!)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
