they keep bumping the thread to keep it on page 1 and hopefully quite near the top.

It is for newbies to MSE and the Debt Free Wannabe forums, for them to read and not get put off by trolls and horrible people on MSE. By keeping it on page 1 and near the top, it has more chance of them reading it first before getting scared off by trolls.
