Have ended up with 23lb:eek: of jam, flavor's are Damson, apple and plum, and apple and damson,of which 4 have been given as thank you's and then 1 so far has gone to Dad, seeing as he can't stand for long,to do his own, if he approve's of it he's an exclent cook and baker more will be going to him, but I love jam, and it's been going down very well on my toast so I'm hoping I'v done enough:eek:, still I'll be happy if the wine turn's out as well as the jam, but I'll not find that out till next year:tongue:, of which 2 gallon of damson are in the demi john's, another gallon of damson and 2 gallon of apple are in the furmenting bin's can you tell what fruit I'm getting for free?:D

How many jar's did you do Tixy?

Never tried wine (thats making wine, I might have tried drinking real wine once or twice :D), my mother makes various fruit alcohol drinks (liquers and vinegars) but wine looks more complicated. Hope it turns out well for you.

I'm a cheat, my mother has all the jam making equipment so I pick the fruit, buy the sugar and stand around her kitchen pretending to help, doing a bit of prep whilst she does the actual making :rotfl:
One of these days I shall have to learn to do it all properly, I guess in a few years she won't be making any and I'll have to make not only mine but hers as well.
