I just thought I would drop by to give a hand keeping an eye of Fred, with a gentle reminder:

Good Evening boult and Madcat. Well done on the bumping. Sorry I haven't been around to help, Handy is having a family weekend. Kid Sis is down for a few days with her 4 Border Collies. Its a lot of fun having 8 dogs in one house.

Its hard to believe that they all get on together like 1 big pack. Lots of hoovering to next week, tons of dog hair to clean up.:rotfl:

    Regards to all, Handy.:D

    Hi Handy,

Great to hear you had such a good weekend and it's amazing all those dogs get on so well when they don't see each other often! :D

Hi Erme, you have to cut in the edges of walls cielings and skirtings using neat emulsion with a 1/2 or 1 inch brush (also around swtiches and light fittings). you only thin the emulsion on new plaster or woodchip, if ready painted use it neat. The colors you are covering sound a nightmare:eek: It's sometimes better to first coat with a trade white (cheap) emulsion. You can get one called an obliterating emulsion as a first coat.

Keep us posted on how you get on.
    Regards, Handy.:D

I didn't see any obliterating anything @ the hardware store ...2 coats of white something and the peach is gone (bar the creamy border)....Did a second coat on the bedroom wall on Saturday night (cos I did it way too thin)...

    I found a 3" brush for the edges :)..that'll do :)......

So yeah day off yesterday cos it's Sabbath (to be honest apart from the odd hyper spell the worst thing is the plug on the sofa that keeps getting too close my derriere - up turned - ouch!!!) and onto first and second coats of white all over today then DV onto some cream :T...

Yeah I'll keep you all informed. It's cold so I can't open the windows so ratties will go ape later. They're fine. They just go hyper for a couple of hours with paint fumes...

And I managed to lay my sabbath Jacket on the puddle of paint by the door way yesterday  ....praise God a few dabs of water and it came out :)

New page, new reminder. Welcome to DFW, if you are new please read the message below.:)

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

    What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Report” icon, as shown below:
    report00.gif

Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the MSE team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM

It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT
