Why shouldn't I buy an electric shaver from Germany?

I'm looking at buying a new electric razor to reduce the irritation on my skin. I'm still researching what to buy, but am looking at a foil shaver having had a couple of rotarys in the past and have wet shaved generally recently.
Am not yet sure what I want to spend, but ignoring cost to begin with I started looking at the Braun 790cc-3 from Amazon.co.uk (£163) and the top of the range Panasonic ES-LA93 from Amazon.co.uk (£270).
Then (somehow) I came across the Panasonic ES-LA93 at Amazon.de for €233 (~£200). A significant saving! Assuming I went for that one, I can't see any reason not to buy from Germany:
Google.de's shopping search finds it even cheaper at a more obscure site. but of this I am a little more dubious.
Can anyone provide me with a good reason not to save £70-100?

- The Panasonic warranty seems to be pan-european.
- Any non-delivery problems are covered by my credit card.
- Postage isn't much extra.
- Amazon are a well known brand so I forsee little problems there.
- No import tax to pay as it's in the EU.

go for the new Gillette Fusion Proglide razor...even better than the previous Fusion razor and certainly better than most electric shavers.

Erm yeah - research the voltage first or could be a costly 'saving'

That's a fair point, but European voltage is harmonised at 230V nominal so I doubt they have a different specification power supply for Germany. You generally only get a two-prong shaver style plug with electric shavers so I have few worries there either. Worth checking though.0

We bought a shaver for my stepdad when he was in hospital in Germany - and saved nearly 60 quid back then - and it worked just grand here in the UK. That was back in 2002, its just died a death.0
