Sainsburys to me???

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone had also had any bad experiences with Sainsburys lately?

I have shopped with them for a few shops as their basics range seems really good, I am now really disappointed, first of all the delivery was late...no problem there, they gave me a £10 voucher and with that I was really pleased!!

I then had to call customer services last week over some half price persil washing liquid that was clearly half price on the web, went into my shopping basket at half price (for del thursday last week) on an offer supposedly not to end until 01/02 (today) and my confirmation email said half price. I was charged full price, I called the number and was met with a rottweiler telling me I was lying- she called a supervisor who would not refund the difference and gave it to me in evoucher form to use with them on my next delivery, I am well aware of prices changing in store etc etc and do not usually complain...but one of the varieties is STILL sitting on the web at half price!!!

I went to do another delivery with them this evening, the "late voucher" went through...I then put in the voucher code for the money given to me by email which...surprise surprise does not work!!

I have no desire to do another shop with them as they have been extremely unhelpful, I just really wanted an opinion on what to do, do I call back and demand my money? or cut my losses and shop elsewhere and let em keep it?

Any advice appreciated :)

  • I've only used them twice as they've only just started covering our area. So far I'm really pleased, very few subs and unavailables (none today on a £100 order), pleasant delivery staff and good best before/sell by dates.

I used to use Sainsbury's a couple of years ago and when I had a problem I couldn't resolve I emailed customer services and got a decent response so it might be worth providing them with some feedback by email?
