Which energy supplier can provide Economy 10 Heatwise

Hi all

Just done a search and couldn't find a definitive answer

I have a Economy 10 Heat-wise meter installed in my flat

I only have two storage heaters, a convex heater in the bedroom and a hot water tank powered by dual immersion heaters.

I've worked out when the hot water can be switched on so I'm saving as much as i can here...

Looking at my latest bill, i have been over charged by £169 this year...

When i have spoken to my current supplier they tried to pull a fast one and dump my custom...! Not happy

Now I want to move supplier or at least find a new one so I can compare prices but finding a supplier who will support E10 heat-wise is like trying to get blood out of a stone

So If anyone can help it will be much appreciated

EON don't... just had a chat with a CSA and she said they don't support E10 meters

Do you think she was telling porkies...?

Yes Eon support E10, E18 and Heatwise meters, don't actively look to take new customers on generally who have that type of meter, but generally, if you have one of those 3 types of meter, you're kind of stuck with who you have as a supplier, apart from the above exceptions as posted by advantix

    Definitely telling very big porkies!!!

EON definitely supply E10 meters (they just don't do prepayment option for E10)

    Hi amr_rm

Although similar, Economy 10 and Heatwise are different types of metering set ups.

Heatwise is only available in the East Midlands region, whilst Economy 10 can be found in most parts of the country.

Both are designed for all electric properties with storage heaters and offer 10 hours of cheaper, off peak electricity for water/heating purposes only. The times will differ depending on the type of metering set up and the region.

Economy 10 is a term which is sometimes used to describe a variety of different Restricted Hour Tariff (RHT) meters.

Where we have a tariff to support the meter in question, we will be happy to do so. Certainly, we have tariffs for Heatwise, Economy 10 and some types of RHT meter described as Economy 10.

However, there are some RHT meters where we do not have a suitable tariff to bill on. In these instances, we will tell customers we don't have a product to suit the meter.

If you have a RHT meter where we don't have a suitable tariff, our agent will have advised you of this.

Hope this sheds a bit more light on to this particular question amr_rm. Give me a shout if I can help further as will be happy to do so.
