Is re-location a good reason for leaving a temp job 3 weeks early?

I'm in a bit of a tricky situation.
I'm temping for a company which is closing at the end of March. The temps have been told we're safe in Feb, but could possibly be released sometime in March before it closes if there's not enough work.
I've decided to re-located to another part of the country, where Im from originally & where my family are.
The way my tenancy works I have to leave my flat either mid March or mid April.
If I leave mid March, I will have at least 3, possibly 5 weeks wages behind me! However, it could mean volunatrily leaving my job.
If I leave mid April, I risk that money. I'll have 3 weeks wages max..possibly 0 if they get rid of me early March!!
Naturally, I want as much money behind me as possible.
I'm worried if I leave in March, it will look bad on my CV, to furture employers, and may affect a jobseekers claim? Even though the job was due to end at the end of March anyway.
I'm very conflictd and confused. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks

If it's only a couple of weeks, do you have any friends / family you could stay with, at least during the week only? If not, why not find out prices of local B&B's, that way you can stay in the job until the contract finishes0

Ive moved house 3 times and always got jsa. only once they questioned why i left, but i said i moved to better my employment chances and also couldnt afford to commute to other job being other counties away.
if you got hassle they would only sanction you for the period the job had left eg 3 weeks.
my mate asked the agncy he worked for to just end his contract and they did it no probs.Christians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Give them a call !! ( You don't have to be a Christian ! )

I've considered this. I wouldn't be able to stay with anyone for that length of time, and B&B's would cost quite a bit, and I really don;t think the job is worth that to be honest!0 -

Compared to what I'd be able to save if I moved mid March, 3 weeks jobseekers would be nothing!
Thanks for your advice. I may talk to my agency, or my boss, see if they can be flexible and help me out!0 -

Can I ask...were you asked by your next employer why you left your job and did you used re-location as a reason?
To me, my reasoning sounds completely rational and sensible, but I know certain employers, and in particular, the job centre can be particular about certain things.0 -
yes i told employer, i was divorced and living back with my parent,i got a bedsit of council and monitored the council house swap websites, i saw a flat that was bigger and in a better area and swapped. I believe they swapped with me due to wanting to either move back near friends or they found a job in my town.I did it 3 times till i got a lovely 2 bed semi ina excellent area.Christians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. It will effect your job seekers claim if you leave by choice. If you wait till they end your contract because of them closing it will be better.0

Best thing maybe would to ask in the Job Centre. I know when I had to claim Job Seekers allowance three years back they asked why I left my job. I told them because I was moving so I had to. That didn't then effect mine.
So maybe you'll be fine. Just say you left because you were moving to had to leave.0 -

Thanks for the advice, I will have a search for info and contact my job centre :cool:0
