    that sounds very interesting.

i do like alot of the recipe books from the book people.
  • Thanks Allergra, that recipe sounds nice, tho the one im looking for was more of a dry packed filling, and the ham was shredded rather than pulled,il keep searching.

Not quite what you want but is DELICIOUS: Nigella has a recipe for what she calls a Boxing Day pie which is bacon rashers and even my OH liked, and he hates both pastry and eggs. A triumph ! Can't remember which book, but expect it's on her website.

I remember seeing a recipe for ham and egg pie online but now I have all the ingredients ready I cannot find it
I have ready made shortcrust pastry, some thick cut ham chunks and some hard boiled eggs.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for me?

I was thinking, pastry on bottom, make up White sauce and mix in ham and eggs (chop up eggs or leave whole?) then fill pie and cover with pastry lid. Does this sound ok

    Thanks in advance

Thanks that's pretty much the same as what I done in the end, I added mustard to the White sauce and only used crust on top as I only had a huge dish to make it in so think there will be plenty of leftovers :)
