Best place to buy epsom salts ? Thankyou

Hi everyone
Does anyone know a good place to buy epsom salts from. Been reading up on the amazing benefits of them. Id like to start of by buying a kg. I know some high street chemists sell them but they are I feel overpriced. I have seen a lot of these on line chemists have them and also amazon and ebay, but I would prefer a recommendation as you dont know what your buying if you get what I mean. Does anyone know of a reputable on line chemist please ?
Many thanks x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

  • The last time I bought it from the local chemist it was about 4.00 for a Kg.

The main benefit from Epsom salts is the magnesium. You can get this in two forms:

Magnesium chloride is DEAD SEA SALT and Magnesium Sulphate is EPSOM SALT. Either can be used in bathwater. Magnesium Chloride, is roughly £7 a 25kg bag in the UK Magnesium Sulphate is over £15 best sourced from farm or equine cash and carry outlets "Outdoor Shops" usually found on/near industrial centers in country towns.

I think our local one is called Countrywide

online at summernaturals. I order them in bags of 2kg.

Or just by them in the garden centre (they're still find for bathing if that's what you want them for).

Chemist is usually the most expensive place to get them.

Can you tell us where you get Magnesium Chloride for that price? I've googled but can't find anything under £32 plus p&p
I checked on the Countrywide website and 400ml of 25% Magnesium Sulphate is £3.69 but perhaps it is a lot cheaper instore?

Those were prices that Hutchinson gave on another forum a couple of days ago without saying where. I can't give a link not enough posts yet) Countrywide price on website is for a medication that you inject into animals not for the stuff you can bathe in which come in 25kg sacks. It might be worth ringing them to see if they have it.
