loan application processing times

hi, does anyone know the average time for online loan applications to be processed? we applied last saturday, but nothing through the post yet, or are we just being impatient?

no, which is surprising as they asked for e-mail in application. not really keen on ringing them up, because did that with a loan application last month and they kept us on the phone for about 40mins trying to flog the ppi, asking how we would pay back the loan if we lost our jobs etc. i'm afraid i'm not the assertive type, and so ended up listening to the spiel for that length of time (ended up being late for work!) we were offered that loan, but for higher % than advertised, so trying another loan provider - northern rock, but no word back, by e-mail or post. beginning to wonder if i submitted it properly.

did you have to pay a fee like £40.00 to a broker, i have aplied for a loan , was told 5 working days, have been on mse was told its a semi legal scam, they will tell me the lender has pulled out so i lose my fee.......... anyway friday i got a text from them saying they are having trouble getting me a loan................ bye bye£40.00....................

we applied to northern rock for a loan online and we had a telephone call from them the next day so i think you should have heard something by now. did you give telephone contacts?
