Hi,
Me and my partner have been living at our house for around 18 months..
We keep getting a debt letter for someone who i can only assume lived there over 2 years ago as we know the previous owner and he had it for 6 - 8 months.
I have phoned them numerous times and threatened police action but they keep sending letters! getting 1 every 2 weeks at the moment!
Is there any advice anyone can give as this is getting beyond a joke now
Thanks

Not much more you can do apart from put the letters back in the post marked "not at this address - return to sender".
Are they ringing you as well? Or writing to you by name or to "the occupier"?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Unfortunately companies are required to send letters to the last known address. If they send a prepaid envelope i would stuff everything back into that and send it back to them. Not much else you can do.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

is that all I can do? happened all this time and there is nothing that can be done for them to start looking for this guy elsewhere?
Is there a threatening letter i can send them to stop?0 -
They're only sending letters. Don't open them, return them to sender and forget about it.Total Debt Sept 2010 - £24,132.38 / Current - £0.00/ 100% paid

If you get any with prepaid envelopes, stuff other junk mail like take away menus into it and return it. If they ask why, tell them you thought you were pen pals now sending irrelevant and inapplicable rubbish to one another.
I usually find it most fun where you offer a company (like sky) information on virgin media, or similar.
They often do stop doing it, strangely enough.0
