I think we have to step back and think.
What ever advice you took failed to protect from the senario you are now in and there was a product available that would have achieved the ultimate goal that you had.
But for whatever reason you and your advisors failed to find it.
Given that, I think you need to listen to what people are saying and try not to compound the problem any further before decideing a course of action.
Not all the comment will be relevent(based on limited information) but here people out anyway they may have a point you have not thought of.
(like an offset plus if you had asked 2 years ago)0
