Fixed rated ending, due to arrears can't remortgage Help please

Hi we are with Santander, and have mortgage arrears set by the judge at court at £50 a month on top of our mortgage. We are meeting the payments and have no problems with it. The trouble is our mortgage fixed rate ends in June and they will not obvioulsy remortgage and said we have to go on variable till arrears are finished and then not until a year after that. What do I do the mortgage rates are set to go up and we need to get on fixed please advise help help thanks, oh and the arrear with legal costs are about £2,500 and we are paying £629 (including £50) per month on a interest only mortgage of £119,999.00 Many thanks

If you are comfortable with the overpayment could you not make extra voluntary payments in order to clear the arrears faster? Presumably the arrears are on the interest (being an interest only mortgage?) hth
I'm sure someone much more knowledgeable will be along soon to share their pearls of wisdom.
