Hi all, couple q's for ya.
1) Ever had any dealings with a company called iLoans Ltd? They sent me forms etc on behalf of a broker that was paid (not by choice) saying that they had the money to send etc. Sign the forms, send the required documents and all would be sorted...
That was done over 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard from them, any ideas?
2) How long should it take to get a refund back from a broker company? They took it without my knowledge and I asked for it back. Sent the letter requesting it back by recorded delivery which they had on 31st December. They don't return my calls and I cannto get through to anyone.
Any ideas?
Thanks

How did that happen?Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -
They asked for my details for verification. They assured me nothing would be taken. I checked my bank account on Christmas eve to find they had taken £69.50. I haven't heard from them since.0

Never, ever, give out your bank details to brokers who ask for 'verification'. They only want these details so that they can take money from you which can take a long time and a good deal of persistence to get back.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Yep, I know that now. I have studied their T&C's and requested it back how they asked within the time frame specified.0

Call your bank, tell them it's an unauthorised transaction. You probably won't have to deal with the loan company again.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0

I called the Lloyds TSB fraud division and they told me to contact the company and not to bother them. I explained that I had not given permission and again, they told me they cannot do anything and I have to contact the people that took the money.0 -

It is not unauthorised though, is it?
OP had given his details for "Verification" it is likely that the brokers Ts & Cs will state that a fee is payable.
OP, I believe that the standard agreement in these cases is that the broker has up to 6 months to return your fee, minus £5 for their efforts.0
