Does anyone know of any cupcake decorating classes in Northern Ireland. I am based in Co Armagh but willing to travel.
Or as an alternative anyone know of cake decorating classes.
Both one off classes or a series?
My preference would be cupcake decorating techniques...
TIA

As the original poster of this thread, I feel obliged to come back and update on classes that I have found.
At first I could not find any in this area but finally found one in Dublin
"Celebration Cupcakes" with "A Cake for You" located in Dublin (http://www.acakeforyou.ie)
I attended the first cupcake class ran by the owner Grainne in July. A Saturday class 10-4pm.
The class entailed:
-Demonstrated the perfect cupcake recipe and how to dispense into the cases evenly.
-Each participant was given work station and some florist paste, gel colours and tools to create decorations, flowers, butterflies etc under Grainnes guidance.
-Demonstration of the perfect buttercream and Swiss buttercream recipes.
-Demonstration of how to cover cupcake with buttercream
-Demonstration on piping "Rose Swirl" and "French Swirl"
-Able to practise techniques above on the 12 cupcakes to take home.
-Decorated iced cupcakes with decorations made earlier.
All in all an enjoyable day with lovely cupcakes to take home. learnt several skills that I've used time and time again.
I've since come across a "Cupcake Masterclass" at Lizzie's Kitchen, Drumbo (http://www.lizzieskitchen.co.uk)
I can not comment on this class as I have yet to attend.
Other classes that I have come across but have not attended or personal experience of are:
Cakes by JamesBelfast
https://www.cakesbyjames.co.uk
http://cakesbyjames.eventbrite.com/?s=4621883
Piping skills class:
Bangor Cake Craft
http://www.bangorcakecraft.co.uk
I hope this information is of use to other cupcake makers!0 -
