What do people think of Harris Poll Online? Are they reliable at adding points correctly?
Myself and my OH joined recently. I noticed that the email invitations don't contain a number of HIpoints so how do you chase it up if they don't award anything? OH and I have just done exactly the same survey this evening. I was told at the end that I would have 100 points added to my account but OH was told he'd get 200! Seems highly unfair that I only get paid half for the same survey! Can't log into the HIpoints account to check as they still don't seem to have set it up yet and the forgotten password link doesn't seem to do anything...

Able to log into my HIpoints account today - OH and I have both done the same 2 surveys but he's been paid 200 points for both of his while I've only got 100 points. I really don't see how that's fair - if I complained would they give me the extra points or just take half of the points off my OH?!0

they would ban you both because with any survey site, your not allowed more than one account per householdJuly Wins - Stargate Universe DVD Set0

Not all survey sites will ban, as some sites do allow more that one account in the same household. I would check in FAQ most of time it says if your allowed in there. For example just a few which allow more then one per householdkirkeastment wrote: »they would ban you both because with any survey site, your not allowed more than one account per household

When I get invites, I get told that I can earn "up to xxx points". I rarely get the maximum when I finish but I assume this is because I did not have the correct profile to answer all the questions, so perhaps you got a different amount to your OH because you were not asked all the same questions?
I quite like them so far (I have not cashed anything out yet though...)0 -

Untrue, my OH and I are both members of 10+ survey sites, there's only a small number extra that I do alone because they're one per household. We always check the T&Cs first and Harris Poll say one per individual not one per household. Not sure what this would have to do with them paying us different amounts anyway - surely they'd just not pay one of us altogether if that was the problem? When I get invites, I get told that I can earn "up to xxx points". Your invites sound different to mine - mine have only said 'you'll earn HIpoints' but not how many. It's only right at the end that it tells me how many I've earned. I didn't know that though, so now that I know this I guess you're right, maybe I didn't get asked quite as many questions.
They're not too bad so far - after the log in problems got fixed. The surveys I've done so far seem relatively simple, and even though I've not earned as many points they're still quite well paying. Will just wait and see how it goes.sarahjayne1977 wrote: »Not all survey sites will ban, as some sites do allow more that one account in the same household. If you mean Global Test Market, they're one of the few that actually don't allow more than one per household. I don't think it says it in their T&Cs but it physically won't let you sign up if your address is already used, I signed up first and OH tried later but couldn't. Unless they changed it recently? Would be nice if they did!0 -
Hi, I'm new and saw this post just browsing the forums to get an idea of what this board is like.
I've been doing Harris Poll surveys on and off for about 5 years - you're right, they don't tell you how many points they'll award for a survey in advance, but that's because it depends on how much of the survey you actually end up doing. Often, if part of the survey doesn't apply to you, it'll jump to the next point and you'll get fewer points accordingly.
If you don't really qualify properly for the survey, they usually give you 30 HiPoints.
They're not my favourite site tbh, seems to take me forever to accrue enough points to cash out, and they changed it a couple of years back so it's only worth cashing out at 1600 points (£10 Amazon voucher) unless you want one of the items, which I never do.0 -
Complaining was worthwhile, I got an apology that said I was on a slightly different system and some compensatory points. Should all be fine from now on

Has anyone else noticed that Harris Poll have changed their web address? I am 50 points away from cashing out, haven't had any surveys from them in a while now and now can't log in on their new site... the old one doesn't work anymore. Hmm obvious what has happened here I guess.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

Yes they've changed everything. They don't accept old passwords. They sent me a new one but I still couldn't log in...
I've just emailed their helpdesk
(I loathe Harris Poll, I've been a member for years, literally, and only once have I managed to get a real payout -- amazon voucher. And their web page always was clunky.)0 -
update
I finally managed to log in -- their survey heldesk sent me a new password for the rewards site
but there's still no log in link at the main site, I logged in there by choosing "edit profile" or whatever. I did tell them that but they didn't reply0
