I wondered if anybody had an actual address,or email address for them as i bought some shoes for my friends daughter and they have lasted two weeks wearing them for school, they nearly have a hole in them they have completely worn down.
The quality is appalling,i know this type of "dolly" shoe doesn't last long but two weeks, come on,that's ridiculous isn't it.

Actually,i just double checked when i purchased them, they were delivered on the 20th and were worn from the 21st so they have been worn for 6 days in total and are fit for the dustbin
I've answered my own question,i've just found out they are part of the Sportsdirect group.0 -
You should write to the supplier in the first instance - assume that was Sports Direct anyway? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I bought them from halfcost,i just received a reply back, they don't want to know basically,is there any part of this forum where i could get help with taking this further, any pointers please? as i'm fuming, they say in the email below incorrect use ? she has worn them to school and back that's it!
Dear *****
Thank you for your recent e-mail.
Sorry to hear that the rubber soles of the Golddigga shoes have worn down. We have sold a large quantity of these shoes and have not encountered similar complaints, as such we do not feel that the item is faulty. They could have worn down quickly due to some kind of incorrect use. I'm afraid we would not be able to accept them back in this condition.
Sorry for any disappointment caused by this.
Regards
Darryl

I would not leave it at that.
These shoes were shoes so surely meant to be used for walking in!! I would certainly say they were not fit for purpose, and certainly not of merchantable quality. If it was me I would be asking precisely how long they expect their shoes to last. Lay it on a bit, tell them your friend's daughter was really fond of these shoes and thought they looked stylish compared to her schoolmates.

Have you sent them a picture of the damage to the soles? I assume you have told them how little wear they have had?
I would also suggest only sending one more email to Customer Services, if you have no joy send a copy of the emails to the highest grade staff you can find. As far as I can make out they are part of

In the meantime I have found what I assume are the shoes you bought (Golddigga one strap shoe black patent?) and emailed them asking if they are suitable for school use - will let you know the answer!!)What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I'd get back in touch saying that's unsatisfactory. Can you provide receipt for when you got them?Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Thank you very much for taking the time to do that Jane,i started another thread here,in it there's another email they sent me.
I don't know whether it's worth sending pics or contacting someone higher up as you suggest.

Unfortunately they came back with a rather non-committal reply, but at the same time it does not say they are only for wearing inside or the such! I personally would send in the pics at least, it doesn't cost anything by email, and perhaps ask if all the shoes they sell are only meant to last a week! I think their replies to you are ridiculous, shoes are shoes and as such should be worn on the feet and walked on.
The other thread seems overwhelmingly in favour of the shoes being not fit for purpose too. Tell them these shoes are faulty and you want a refund, attach as detailed a photo as you can, and tell them you do not believe they are fit for purpose, (I don't think their QC department is either!!
Anyway, for what it's worth here is their reply:
Thank you for your recent e-mail.
The shoes are not specifically school shoes, I am uncertain of their suitability to be worn for everyday school use.
It may be worthwhile for you to check this with a shoe specialist if you are intending to use them for this purpose.

Darryl
