Hiya
It's my oh's stag night this weekend and I wondered whether I am supposed to get him a present for it and if so what?
Paying for a stripper?!

I have no plans on giving him a present on his stag doo, I might write some little note for him, reminding how great I am for him to find when he is getting ready to go to the strip joint though!0

I didn't get my husband anything for his stag night ~ first I've heard of buying presents for the groom from the bride on his stag actually!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0

First I've heard of it too! He didn't buy me anything for my Hen night, I bought him nothing for his Stag! It's up to the friends to do the presents IMO! He'll be getting a present on the wedding day, if he's lucky!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Thanks all- I just wasn't sure! My friends oh bought her loads of presents to open on her hen night but she just paid for their first round in the pub. I wasn't sure of the etiquette!

i don't think it's a 'done' thing so don't feel pressurised into doing anything0

Never heard of it either but then I'd never heard of buying each other a gift on the wedding day either so each to their own. My H2B is going paintballing and I noticed on their website they do little paintballer figures that you can get engraved. Cash depending at the time I was thinking of arranged one each for the stag and best man as a keepsake. If I hadn't seen it it wouldn't have crossed my mind tbh0

I've never heard of this before, and I wasn't planning on doing the wedding day gift thing either.
Having given it a little thought however, i might do something. H2b's mates are all very good at drinking, telling jokes and patting each other on the back, but none are known for their organisational skills. Also, since h2b's best man is his dad, h2b is organising his own stag doo, so no one will even think of organising something fun. They're all going off to watch a footy match at a london club. I might email the club and ask them if they can write something up on one of those boards. Either something super embarrasing like "John Smith, snuggly bear says she loves your wiggle piggle xxx" or just write "Happy stag doo John Smith".saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.

Do the embarrassing one. Please. :rotfl:
I've never heard of stag/hen do presents from spouses to be before either, although I quite like the idea of doing something towards it. Something like compiling a list of questions about you that your H2B has to answer correctly or do a forfeit *evil mind goes into overdrive* hehehehe!!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012
