Wow well done Thrifty, a whole year not using a credit card is a great achievement!! :T
Got on fine with my appt. My psoriais is so severe that they have put me on drug therapy. I weighed up the pros and cons of taking them as they have side effects, but the prospect of having clear skin is so exciting, I cant tell you!:j
On the work side, I have discovered that we have an Occupational Health Nurse, so I have made an appointment with her. Basically, she will document all your health issues and medication so the effects of these will be taken into account and your working conditions tailored to suit, ie not working late, frequent breaks etc.
I feel a lot happier with all that!;)
Thats fantastic news Jinty, especially about the occ health nurse, i do hope that stops you feeling quite so guilty when you stick to your guns & leave work on time
Anyhoo - rambling over. I'm off to have another of my "medicinal" cuppas BDINI!:rotfl:
Me too!!! :coffee:
Have a lovely day everyone:)meaning I got a pieve of beef that should have cost nearly £19 for my £1.77
Thats some bargain Elf & IMHO well worth losing an NSD for!
Well number 2 for me today, i didn't need anything, but even if i had been tempted the pouring rain & gale force winds definitely put paid to any thoughts of leaving the house tonight!February NSD challenge 5/150 -

Going to count today as NSD Number 1, as I am changing the terms of my challenge slightly! Basically, I have decided to not count train fares even if I pay on the debit card every day (or, if it is cheaper, I'll get season tickets) as they are essential, and I'm not going to count the DDs that go from my account, as the days they go seems to change slightly every month which makes planning tricky!
Still going to count cash spends, other debit card spends, and transfers from my current account.
Also - today is a bit of a cheat, as I bought some bits in Halfords for fitting my new car radio, but I'm being reimbursed so it doesn't count in my eyes!
I think that's ok - I don't count spends if I'm going to be reimbursed for them either (as it's not really my money I'm spending). Else I'd never get any NSD when I'm away on business :rotfl:
Just back from 'vertical dance'gonna have some cracking brusies tomorrow and some very achey muscles but all in all a really good class - think we're all feeling we've got over our post xmas slump.
Blowing a gale down in this neck of the woods too - though could feel the warmth in the sun at lunchtim which was nice. Snowdrops peeking through in the garden (forgot we had them) and some daffs - all in all Spring seems to be trying to peek through. :jFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi all,
I want to add myself in for the challenge please. I've been trying to do this anyway, so it'll be good to keep track of numbers
I'm aiming for 18 ... not including direct debits and MS spends where I'll get refunded for the purchase.
And today is NSD no.30 -
Hurrah, NSD #1 at last! Have been jealously reading about everyone else's this month, and finally have one of my own.
Almost had one yesterday, but needed cough sweets and paracetamol to fight the lurgy
Also figured a mini bottle of red wine was called for - on purely medicinal grounds of course.
Have stayed stronger today tho, and am finally off the starting blocks. :T Here's to many more

Student again now and trying to fight the debts that are creeping up again :eek:0 -
Today was NSD #2 - but very nearly wasn't......
Window cleaner appeared (to do the cleaning) just as I was getting ready to leave for work, and I normally pay him if I see him then rather than when he comes back in an evening to collect payments - but I didn't have enough in my purse for one visit, and I prefer to pay for all visits in a month at the same time (to potentially reduce spend days). As I was walking out of the door I suddenly thought to ask him if he'd be round collecting tonight (as if he was it meant I could justify Whoopsie hunting on my way out of work), but he said he'll be coming for payment tomorrow. So I managed not to take the route out of work that takes me past the chilled Whoopsies for the second day in a row.
I did still find myself thinking about going back for final reductions, but within half an hour of getting home it started to persist it down - and then gales started up as well..... so no trip back to work, and NSD retained
However it means tomorrow will be a spend day, even if no D/Debits go out. But that suits my plans fine, as I need to pick up some veg at a minimum (due to expecting a visitor again this weekend all being well)
