    Can I join again please?

I really need support, I don't know how bad anyone has been with clutter, but mine is neverending and I need to clear stuff fast!

I now think I've got some damage to the flat that I need to let the landlord see but I have to clear rooms first and I am ashamed that something I neglected to fix - because of clutter and fearing workmen coming in to the house - has caused a major problem.

I am going back to do it, but any help much appreciated.

    :xmastree:

    - hi and welcome.

Toots - our precious Meeter and Greeter will send you a welcome PM shortly.

What do we call you for short igaveupnowimback?

There will be a new thread up tonight which will tell you the room for tomorrow. Dont wait till tomorrow - get started on it tonight.

Dont look at the room as a whole though.... thats when you will get overwhelmed... look at decluttering one shelf, or one drawer/table etc. When you are finished the first one - the trick is to keep that one clear and then start on the next one. Always keep clear what you have done to prevent more clutter building up and move onto another little bit to be cleared.
    • Take a binbag and start with the rubbish.
    • Get another bag and fill it with stuff for the charity shop - be ruthless - if you dont really need it then it can go.
    • Get all the newspapers/magazines into the recycling
    • stuff which you actually need/want to keep - find a home for it. Most of the clutter in my house is still clutter cos it doesnt have an actual place to go.
    • Anything which belongs in another room - put it in that room and worry about it when you get to that room.
    • Papers to be filed - put them into a box to go through later.
Hopefully that will help in the short term - lets see how much we can help you with this week...

    Good luck

    xx

Hope you don't mind - I thought I'd use that pic as an avvy in memory of MoneySavingDiva

Just printed labels for the marmalade. Would have printed the first time IF a certain kitten hadn't been so excited to hear the printer hum into action that she came to look what was coming and firmly planted her front paws on the paper tray, thus preventing pick up

On a flying note (which I'm sure Diva would approve of) I have filled 3 binbags full of junk...I honestly don't know where it all comes from, decluttered the fridge from the usual wasted, out of date food **sigh** and rearranged the kitchen a bit.

Disinfected and wiped down the dining table, made a sunday roast beef dinner and ate it and done a round of washer, dryer, folding and putting away.

I may do some baking in a mo to use up some of the copious eggs and bakery things that need using up.

I've also dyed my hair a lovely shade of red rather than the violet/purple colour it was before.

    Hi Jo,
Thanks so much, I got the big long name at another member's suggestion way back cos I used to be 'Igiveup!'

For short on here - would ibac work? That's about all I can come up with cos they won't let me change username!

    Cheers :)
