  • As already said rice is NASTY stuff.I was admitted to hospital after a trip to Egypt,I was told it was food poisoning,first I was told it was dodgy meat,but after tests it was found to be rice.We had rice a couple of times,but the day before we came home we had a rice soup made from the rice water,I think this was the culprit,I have never suffered anything like this in my life,it was awful and I thought I would die.The consultant said that rice is one of the biggest causes of poisoning and that it is also one of the nastiest.
    Since that day I only eat fresh cooked rice and bin any leftovers,I will never risk poisoning.

    Or freeze after it's cooled. 24 hours in the fridge would be my limit too - it's not worth the risk for such a cheap food.
  • Thought I'd get a second opinion from my magic 8 ball. I asked it if you should eat the rice. It said:

    [SIZE=-1]Reply hazy, try again.

    I asked same question again, but:
