Additional Maternity Leave

My partner has just started her second 26 weeks of additional maternity leave. The first 26 weeks she got Statutory Maternity Cover from her emploeyer, now she gets nothing.
Although undecided if she should return to work, is there no benefit at all she is entitled to for these 26 weeks? I'm starting my own business and am currently unpaid, so every penny is crucial at this time. We've both made the decision that it's too early to send our 5 month old to nursery, and child care costs are so prohibitive in London.
We've asked so called 'experts' but they have contradicted each other.
Anyone any advice?
Thanks in advance!
