It will probably stand out more - I'd not worry as long as it is all legible.

However, are you sure it's not an application form that is required - as some gvt agencies often insist on it?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

yea I have to fill in an application form aswell
  • I would go for the typed option as once you photocopy it as they will it will degrade. It does go a long way about your ability to actually write with a pen though.
The harder one works the luckier one gets!
  • Please don't be offended - but it might stand out for the wrong reasons, and you might not come across on paper as you would like. Do you not have a friend or someone that could print it out for you if you e-mailed them the documents?

I will try and see if I can get it typed but has to go out in the post tomorow as there is going to be a postal strike
  • You can print at most libraries for a small fee, about 10p a page.

I agree, if you can't print it off at a local library then do you not have a friend or family member who would let you print it off from their printer.I think it makes it easier for employers to read if it is printed. If they get a large volume of applicants then they will not waste time trying to read a hand written one if it is not completely clear. Good luck with your application

I would never advise someone to use a handwritten CV; it's virtually unheard of!
  • Nope, go to the library and get your CV printed off there. A handwritten one is unprofessional in the extreme.
The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing
  • I don't know where you are but in Careers Scotland centres you can walk in off the street and ask to print out your CV on their PCs. Dunno if you can do the same with Next Step or Connexions in England.
