Hello,
I was looking for some advice about dry skin around my eyes / eye sockets.
It seems all eye care products talk about reducing dark circles etc and I'm struggling to find a product specifically to moisture the eye area.
Things I've tried so far (but could try for longer):
E45 Lotion Pump - 500ml
Bulldog Original Moisturiser 100ml
Nivea For Men Intensive Moisturising Creme 50ml
L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Eye Cream 15ml
Are these good / bad?
I also suspect the winter hasn't helped combined with hot showers. I do drink lots of water though.

Surely that's not a good thing for dry skin around the eye?!The formula contains Collagen Biospheres. These dehydrated bio-assimilated molecules penetrate the skin and inflate on contact with water present in skin cells.

Good old fashioned Vaseline should help and try to the hot shower water from directly hitting your face. The heat and pressure really beat up the skin.Norn Iron Club member 4730

What's your diet like? If the dry skin is only around the eye area it could mean a deficiency in something or other.
A really good treatment for dry skin is Vitamin E oil at night-time. Superdrug sell it and it's very reasonably priced. Pat it on lightly with your fingertips. In the morning bathe the area with tepid water only0 -
I get dry skin because i'm allergic to cats, which means I rub my eyes resulting in dry skin.
I found piles cream AMAZING. Put it on over night and get up in the morning and the dry skin will be gone. After you've wiped off it acts as a barrier as well.0 -
I get this over winter with the heating/cold weather.
Best item I have used is the Superdrug vitamin e oil - I use the skin oil tiny bottle lasts ages, not tried the night one. Last time I got some they were on a 2 for £3.99 offer.
Find it better than expensive creams/lotions.
Mine can be diet related too - I noticed it flared up after I'd been on my diet for a month - think my body was missing its good fats/oils/essential fatty acids - I'd started using the spray oils for cooking and really cut down on fatty foods. I then got some hemp oil from the health store and use that if my skin starts going dry and it has not had a major flare up since.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

May I suggest Liz Earle Eye Repair. It's one of the only creams which I can actually put ON my eyelids without stinging. It's supposed to reduce lines and dark circles, but I don't find that it does that.0

I agree with the vitamin E oil but another option is rosehip oil which can also be used over the whole face at night. You can use rosehip oil around the eye area and it is quite moisturing, there are specific eye creams with rosehip oil in them but I have found the oil itself is more then adequate.Thailand 3010/15000 20150

Vaseline for me, everytime. Wake up the next morning with no sign of dryness.0
