in Cutting tax
Agggggh I am pulling my hair out and wondered if you clever people can help me.
I am filling in my husbands SA tax online and am stuck on something. HMRC helpline is only open Monday to Saturday so can't ask them either
I am on the section for Losses. Last year was husbands first year and he made a profit of around 7k, this year has has made a profit of around 8k.
Loss from this tax year set-off against other income for 2009-10:
Loss to be carried back to previous year(s) and set-off against income (or capital gains):
Total loss to carry forward after all other set-offs including unused losses brought forward:
The section won't let me put 0 in as we didn't have any losses so I can't move on from this section. Am I doing something wrong?

Not being in SA myself I don't have access to the on-line Return but a bit of amateur computer logic is that zero has a value whereas a blank space does not.
Your husband didn't have any losses so leave the spaces blank. Hope it works.0 -
