Having never resigned from any of my previous jobs i am wondering how to word the resignation letter. I would be grateful for any advice given to me.

Dear Joe Bloggs
I am writing to give notice of my intention to leave my employment with [name of company]. I am required to give [x weeks/months] notice, and therefore my last day of service will be [insert date].
Yours etc.
If you wish to say why and/or say how much you have enjoyed working there, go ahead, but you don't need to do this.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

My view is that you should never say anything horrible even if you are leaving under a cloud as you never know when you might have to work with any of them again. As zzzlazydaisy said, keep it simple. I usually put something in about appreciating the opportunities to develop new skills and other such stuff but it is still only a paragraph. Never anything that will come back and haunt me!If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0
