Bulk Buying pulses

I am just wondering where you all buy your pulses from? I am buying mine from Asda atm, I pay about £1 for a bag of red lentils, the bag isn't huge, I would say I only get about 4 pans of soup from it. These are non-soak variety of lentil, is there anywhere else I could source them from?
Thanks
Thanks

Is there some sort of world food shop near you, that specialise in asian, african, etc foods? They tend to have big bags of pulses/grains etc.0

Yep, I get mine from either the Asian or the Turkish grocers usually in two-kilo bags. Cheap as chips. They have some things I've never heard of before and am intrigued by. What would you make from fufu flour, for instance?0

There is a huge asian supermarket near me and i bulk buy 3kg bags of dried pulses,cous cous and spices from there0

I really don't think I want to know :rotfl::rotfl:
Ok - I googled it and apparently its like an instant mash flour made from yams and can be used to make dumplings
I wasn't sure whether or not to believe the wikipedia explanation as it read rather tongue in cheek (sample quote: 'chewing fufu is a faux pas') :rotfl:
*sigh* I only looked as this thread as I need to buy some pulses for Sunnyday's dog food receipe on the slow cooker thread and look where I've ended up :eek: The shame
:rotfl:)
