Dixons V Currys

I know that dixons and Currys are part of the same group, but at the moment their prices vary like crazy.I have for instance just ordered a washing machine.

On the currys site it is £379.99 and on dixons the exact same machine is £312 and using a code its only £292.I have also checked tvs and home cinema and all are up to £100 cheaper on Dixons. If you are looking to buy from Currys.....best you try Dixons.
Hope this helps, and also look out on the voucher forum for the discount codes THE DO STILL WORK !!!

    Yep!

I ordered a 32" LCD from currys the other day.

Dixons had the TV at £599 - and were in stock at the time.
Currys had the TV at £98 - and were out of stock at the time.

I managed to place slip in an order with Currys by buying the TV with a stand at the same time. but this got cancelled a few days later.

    suprise suprise.

Can you tell me where the Dixon codes are? Fairly New to this site.

PCWORLD are part of the same too, so worth checking all 3 if its for computer stuff.

Use the search to find the latest discount codes. Watch out for delivery/installation costs, they differ between all three. Worth spending some time working out each web price, with the delivery/installation costs (sometimes free), along with any discount codes you can find (check they work on the invoice).

And if something, for example, costs £199.99 and the discount is for orders over £200 look for something cheap to add like a pack of batteries you would need to get the discount.

Dont forget a quick check on a shopping site such as pricerunner or Kelkoo.

Order via Rpoints, Quidco or greasypalm for a small extra discount (it all adds up).

Also get extra back by using a cashback credit card and pay it all back when the bill comes in unless you got a 0% card)

Finally, ask if you really need something, its easy to get carried away with a 'bargain'. Check you are going to get use out of it or if what you have is still OK or if something cheaper will do.

Usually you'll find Dixons cheaper as they have shut down most if not all of their shops and are online only.

Currys will not price match Dixons, however i think Dixons will match currys.
