Just to say that Sainsburys 1kg carrots were 50p today also (though I didn't check if they were British & I've already chopped & frozen them & binned the bag - sorry!)0

Asda carrots always taste "damp" I don't know how they store them but both loose and pre packed are the same, you can even smell them when you pass.

Yep..& I can get twice the weight, a 2kg bag, at Tescos for 76p. Okay, they may be market value, but they're fine for me.:D0
